How It Started
In November 2015, Charlie began dreaming of starting his own company to ensure that children have access to quality physical education. During the startup process, he learned that his goddaughter would soon be born with Down syndrome and congenital heart disease (CHD). This diagnosis motivated him to take the leap, so that children with disabilities could receive the quality physical education they deserve. Adaptability officially opened in June of 2016!
Where we are now
Adaptability has grown into a dedicated team of Adapted Physical Education teachers. Since our inception, our APEs have provided direct services to more than 35 schools. Additionally, we have delivered professional development training and teacher coaching to over 160 schools across Illinois. We continue to make a significant impact through both direct student services and teacher training programs.
To say we have positively impacted more than 5000 students would be an understatement.
